Plants, pets, and what to move
The wash is chosen so the house gets clean and the yard is still a yard when the truck leaves.
Before the truck arrives
Bring pets inside. Take down wind chimes you care about, and move lightweight furniture and doormats if you can. Normal movable items get shifted during the job. A piano on the porch does not.
Plants
Beds are watered before and after so a drip off the wall hits wet leaves and then gets rinsed. Delicate annuals directly under a heavy drip line are worth a conversation. Established shrubs usually handle a careful job.
After
People and pets stay off the wet surfaces until they are rinsed and dry. The yard is walked before the truck pulls off. If something was scorched or a plant took a hit, it gets said that day, not discovered in a review.
