What this site collects, and who sees it.

When you send photos for a quote

The form at /quote/ sends one to four photos, the type of work, your town or address, an optional note of up to 200 characters, your name and your mobile number. There is no account.

The request and photos are saved on this website's server in a private folder outside the public site, and a copy is emailed to Alton. The commercial form at /commercial/ works the same way.

When you use the price calculator

The calculator at /price/ asks for the street address, town, state and ZIP, what you want cleaned, and a few answers about the house. To work out the price, the address goes to the U.S. Census Bureau's free address service, which tells the site how far the house is from LaGrange and which Census neighborhood (a "tract") it is in. The site then uses published Census figures for that neighborhood, like the typical age and value of homes there. No records about you or your house are looked up: only where the address is, and those neighborhood figures.

If you only look at the price, you are never asked for your name or number. Your address and answers are kept on this website's private server for about six hours, so you can come back and change them, and then they are deleted. A small cookie that only the price calculator pages use lets your browser find them again. The site also keeps a short anonymous line for each price shown (the town, the work and the price, with no name, street or phone) so Alton can see how the calculator is used, and a scrambled form of each visitor's internet address for one day, to stop abuse.

If you press Send, your name, mobile number, optional email, the address, your answers, any photos and your note go to Alton the same way a photo quote does, and you get a private job page.

Who can see them

Only Alton, through the owner login. Your photos are not a public gallery. After a request you get a private link to your own job page; anyone you share that link with can open it, so keep it to yourself.

A finished-job photo only appears in the public work gallery if you turn that on yourself on your private job page after the work is done. You can turn it back off there.

How long they are kept

Requests and photos are kept with the job record so Alton can look back at the work and send the one-year house-wash reminder. Nothing is deleted automatically. If you want your photos and details removed, call or email and Alton will delete them.

Analytics

Google Analytics is on. The measurement ID is G-XK8C94E5EJ, set in analytics-config.js, and the public pages load it. It counts visits. The quote form, your answers in the price calculator, your photos, your note and your private job page are not sent to Analytics.
