Oxidation is not dirt

If the gutter or the vinyl chalks onto your hand, the finish is failing. Washing the chalk off does not put the color back.

The hand test

Wipe it. White or colored dust on your fingers is oxidation. Dirt smears. Mildew is spotted and often green or black in the shade.

Loose chalk rinses away. The surface left behind is still oxidized. It will look cleaner and still look faded.

Sometimes the honest recommendation is new gutters or paint, not another wash. That is a better answer than a second invoice for the same chalk.

The price is agreed before the hose comes off the reel.
