Pool decks: the rinse does not go in the pool

We clean the deck. We do not treat the water, and we do not wash a load of hypochlorite into it and call that “the pool needed chlorine anyway.”

A pool deck grows algae where it stays damp, and it stains where chairs and irrigation sit. The deck can be soft washed and, if it is concrete, surface cleaned. The edge of the water is the limit. Chemistry and dirt are rinsed away from the pool, not toward it. A little splash happens. A deliberate flush into the water does not.

We are not your pool service. We will not add chemicals to the water, promise the pH will be fine, or drain the pool. If the deck job cannot be done without contaminating the water, we change the method or we do not take it.

Acid-washing a deck down to a new profile is a different, aggressive job. It changes the texture and the look forever. It is not included because the deck “could be cleaner.”

The service this belongs to is Pool deck cleaning.

In the towns we actually drive to

Shade at the house side of the deck grows algae. The sunny side is usually a clay or rust problem instead.
