Winter work you can point at
A sweep, a board, caulk, or a gutter dumping on the foundation can ride with a wash. A remodel cannot.
The slow months are for the small exterior fix you can point at from the yard. A door sweep. Weatherstripping. A board that split. Caulk that fell out. A downspout that dumps on the foundation.
That work can share a visit with a wash. It is not a kitchen, a bathroom, or a way around a licensed trade. Plumbing and electrical stay with the people who hold those licenses.
If the board is rotten past a simple replacement, or the gutter needs a full rehang, I will say so. The point of the winter list is to fill a day with honest work, not to pretend a handyman visit is a remodel.
