What to send for a straight quote
A wide shot, a close shot of the stain, and the address. That is usually enough for a straightforward house.

A wide shot of the whole side, a close shot of the stain, and the street address. Send those and I can usually say what the job is, and what it is not.
The wide shot shows height, plants, and how much wall there is. The close shot shows the color. Green in the shade and orange at the bottom of the wall are not the same job.
A roof needs one photo of the streaks and one from the ground so I can see the pitch and what is under the drip line. Do not get on the roof to take the picture.
If the house is straightforward, the price is for the job and it is agreed before a hose comes off the reel. A tall building, a failing surface, or a stain that may only lighten gets a walk or a test spot first.
